Your essential aftercare guide

Understanding the right way to care for your lash extensions is key to maximizing their lifespan and keeping them looking fresh. We've compiled the most important tips and answers to common questions to help you maintain your gorgeous Vela Lash Bar lashes.

Critical first 48 hours

The first 24 to 48 hours after your lash extension application are crucial for retention. To ensure the adhesive cures properly and your lashes last, please avoid water, steam, saunas, and heavy sweating. Do not touch, rub, or sleep on your lashes, and skip makeup around the eye area during this period.

Daily routine for stunning lashes

For daily care, clean your lashes with a gentle, oil-free lash cleanser. Use a soft brush to remove any buildup like makeup, oils, or debris. Rinse with lukewarm water and gently pat them dry (never rub). Finish by brushing your lashes with a spoolie to keep them aligned. Remember to get refills every two weeks and wash them regularly to keep them looking their best.

What to avoid for long-lasting lashes

To protect your lash extensions, steer clear of oil-based products near your eyes, which can break down the adhesive. Avoid waterproof mascara or eyeliner, excessive touching, pulling, or picking at your lashes. Do not use cotton pads or swabs that can snag lashes, and try to avoid sleeping face-down or directly on your lashes. For makeup, only use lash extension-safe products and apply eyeliner lightly, avoiding the lash line.
